ARH worked closely with regular partner GEA Process Engineering during the construction of this unique facility.  Built on the former site of a power station, with a £250m investment, it was designed to produce 100 million bottles per month and fill nearly twenty every second.  It’s the only plant in the UK capable of both making and filling bottles.

The ARH team of experienced process engineers installed an extensive network of stainless basket tray and dairy pipe.  Into this was then run several thousand metres of power and data cabling, including a Profibus control network, to connect an array of sensors, valves, motors and control panels.

High safety and hygiene standards entailed work of a demanding nature, however this was second nature to ARH’s Electricians and Welders who regularly operate within these conditions and constraints.  After completing work on the installation’s first phase on-time and within budget, ARH were invited to participate in three further phases of the initial project, and on new facilities subsequently added to the plant.
